BB’s Murder Fact-Finding Committee Presents Report To PM

Latest Updates News The fact-finding committee probing Benazir’s assassination has formally submitted its report to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday.

Committee in its report said that decision to hose down the assassination site was not taken by a single entity.

The committee during the course of the investigation recorded statements of at least 40 officials including former DG Military Intelligence Maj-Gen Nadeem Ijaz and former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz.

According to sources, the committee was not informed about the decisions taken by PPP’s core commiittee but the committee has worked as per its mandate.

The committee has recommended action against several top government officials and it is highly unlikely that any military officer would be held responsible.
