Hunza Lake 400 Families Start Migration

The water from Hunza lake formed by a landslide has started causing destruction and submerging nearby villages. The lake is 18kms long and owing to the fear of bursting of it, the around 400 families started migration from the area.

DCO Kohistan, said that geologists from around the world have started converging the valley to evaluate the lake.

According to him, areas located alongside River Sindh including Dasu, Kozial, Kot Kamila, Seu, Kazpora, Sazin, Thothi, Harbin, Kairo, Khobal and Sri Gaigal would be submerged if the lake overruns. avoid any catastrophe but no action was taken.
