Fact Finding Committee To Present Report on Benazir’s Murder Today

Latest Updates Fact-finding committee, which has been formed to investigate the hosing down of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination site in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi has completed its report.

The report is expected to be presented to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani today.
According to sources, the committee has recommended action against several top government officials and it is highly unlikely that any military officer would be held responsible. Committee in its report said that decision to hose down the assassination site was not taken by a single entity.

The report is set to propose action against senior city administrators and police officers of Rawalpindi.

The committee during the course of the investigation recorded statements of former DG Military Intelligence Maj-Gen Nadeem Ijaz, former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz among others.
