Both countries, he added, have the capabilities to face and resolve the economic and security challenges bilaterally and at regional level. The prime minister was talking with Seyed Ameer Mansoor Borghei’e, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran who called on him at the Prime Minister House on Monday afternoon.
The prime minister expressed confidence that the Iranian Deputy Minister’s meetings in Islamabad would prove fruitful in preparing concrete proposals for the forthcoming Joint Economic Commission’s meeting to be held in August this year.
He specified the areas of economic cooperation which included Pakistan-Iran oil pipeline project, electricity supply to Pakistan, supply of oil on deferred payment and enhancing trade under Preferential Trade Agreement signed in 2005.
