Cabinet Approves Labour Policy, Minimum Wage Fixed At Rs7000

Latest News About The Federal Cabinet in a special meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has approved the Labour Policy 2010.

Under the new policy, the minimum wage for the labourer has been raised from Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000. Under new policy, the industrial labourers will be entitled to further privileges and the forced labour would be put to an end.

The minors aged 14 to 18 would not be allowed to work in uncongenial and improper atmosphere. The number of women at any company would be specified under ILO Charter. The new Labour Policy will be put in force from June 1.
